I got into it because I realized I was bad at the whole dating and relationships thing and I wanted to break out of my comfort zone. Goals of "pickup" are subjective. For me, it's not just about meeting women but also learning social skills which would be useful in any social situation. It's not just about picking up women with lines and routines (contrary to all the negative connotations it has); It is the art of social dynamics; understanding how people relate to each other so I can improve my own life and, ultimately, other peoples' lives as well. “Pickup” for me is about personal growth, but everyone has their own idea of what it is.
